MoneyGram transfers are available for individuals to be sent to other individuals without opening a bank account. MoneyGram system allows to send or receive money almost anywhere worldwide within 15-20 minutes.
How to send money
To send money, the Customer fills in the Application form for sending the transfer, hands it over to the service officer, pays the transfer amount and the service fee, then receives a copy of the Application form with a 8-digit transaction reference number of the transfer and reports this number to the recipient, after which the funds are available for disbursement.
How to receive money
To receive money, the Customer fills in the Application form for receiving the transfer stating the 8-digit transaction reference number, presents an Identity Document to the service officer and receives the money.
How to get the refund
If, for any reason, the Customer decides to cancel the transfer and obtain the refund in full or partially, he/she needs to address the service location from where the transfer was sent. All requests for refund are subject to MoneyGram company consideration and decision.
Service fee
BPS-Sberbank does not charge a service fee for transfer receive operations. The Customer receives the transfer amount in full. For transfer send operations, a service fee is charged depending on the transfer amount.
Additional information
BPS-Sberbank accepts and disburses transfers in US dollars. If the sender has some other currency acceptable by the Bank and wishes to send a MoneyGram transfer, then the Bank converts the Customer’s currency into US dollars at the current exchange rate. In other countries, transfer sending and receiving could be executed in other currencies or traveller’s cheques depending on local legislation and availability of required banknotes at an agent location. It is possible to send a transfer in one’s own favour and receive it, having arrived in the country of destination. The transfer can be accompanied by a free message consisting of 10 words at most. Maximum amount for one transfer is USD 10,000. Maximum total transfer amount per person within one day is USD 20,000.
